How to make your own logo in three steps

No design software and no template library to scroll. You type, pick and download.

  1. 1

    Type your brand name

Enter the name exactly as it should appear, up to 40 characters. Add an optional tagline of up to 50 characters to show it in smaller letters below.

  2. 2

Pick a style, an icon and colors

Choose one of five styles (Badge, Mascot, Minimal, Vintage, Wordmark), an icon such as Leaf, Star, Initial Letter or Lightning, and one of seven color pairs. Add up to 200 characters of extra detail if you like.

  3. 3

    Generate and download

Click Generate Logo and wait, usually under a minute. Save the 1024 x 1024 PNG on white, or press Transparent PNG for a cut-out version.

Why use this free logo generator

Three logos, nothing to sign

Every visitor gets three logos for free. No account, no credit card and no watermark on the download.

Your name, asked for letter by letter

The model is told to write the name letter for letter. In more than 60 of our test logos every name and tagline came out correct, apostrophes too, as in Kingsley's. Still check every letter before you print.

Usually under a minute

We timed 60 real generations. The median was 19 seconds, and nine in ten finished within about 52 seconds.

Drawn new, not picked from a template

Each logo is generated from your choices, and the prompt asks for a design that does not copy or resemble any existing brand. Similar results are still possible, so search before you register.

Logo ideas generator for every kind of business

Make your own logo for any brand right here, or start from a theme page with matching icons.

Teams and leagues

Club crests and mascots for sports, basketball, volleyball, golf, gymnastics and esports, with the team name set large for a jersey.

Food and drink

Marks for an eatery, bakery, coffee shop or food truck, made to sit on a menu, a cup sleeve or a truck window.

Trades and local services

Barbers, car detailing, construction, trucking and real estate: names you can paint on a van door or a yard sign.

Health and public service

Calm, clear marks for a hospital or clinic, and bold ones for a fire company or volunteer crew.

Creators and shops

Logos for a music project, a podcast cover, a camera or photo business, a clothing label or a tech startup.

Symbols and animals

Falcon, cat, dog, mountain, circle, shield and royal crown designs when one strong symbol should carry the brand.

Which logo style fits your brand

When you make your own logo, the style choice changes the result most.

Badge puts the icon and name inside one frame, so it reads as a seal: good for clubs, breweries and anything that wants a stamp of heritage.

Mascot draws a character with thick outlines above strong lettering. It suits teams, kids' brands and food spots that want to feel friendly.

Minimal uses a simple line icon and clean sans-serif type with lots of space. It works for consultants, apps and studios, and it tends to hold up at favicon size.

Vintage leans on limited ink colors and serif or script letters for a hand-made, old-shop feel.

Wordmark makes the name itself the hero. Pick it when the name is short and you want people to remember the spelling.

Is an AI logo unique and yours to use

Under our terms you may use your logo for personal and commercial work, and we claim no ownership of it. The prompt asks for an original design, but no tool can promise a mark looks unlike every logo ever registered, so exclusivity isn't guaranteed.

Two more things are worth knowing before you print a thousand cards. First, in some countries a purely AI-made image may not be protected by copyright; the US Copyright Office has taken that position. Second, a trademark is a separate right and clearing it is your job. Run the USPTO trademark search or your local office's database for similar marks in your field, and ask a trademark lawyer before you register or invest in signage.

Before you make your own logo

  • Type the brand name exactly as customers will see it, including capitals and apostrophes.
  • Keep the tagline short; a few words read better at small sizes than a full sentence.
  • Pick Initial Letter or Abstract Mark if no picture icon fits what you sell.
  • Choose Black & White first if the logo will be printed in one ink or engraved.
  • Use the details box for one concrete change, such as a small star above the name.
  • Check the spelling on the result before you send it to a printer.

Logo making mistakes to avoid

  • Mistake: Cramming the name, a long slogan and several symbols into one mark

Do this instead: Use one icon and a short tagline at most. A logo must still read at the size of a social avatar.

  • Mistake: Choosing colors because they look nice on a screen

Do this instead: Pick a palette that also works in one color, and test the Black & White option for stamps and receipts.

  • Mistake: Sending a PNG to a sign shop that asks for vector

Do this instead: Our files are 1024 px PNGs, not vectors. Ask a designer to trace the logo, or run it through a vector converter first. For embroidery, the embroiderer digitizes it into a stitch file.

  • Mistake: Registering the mark without a search

Do this instead: Check a trademark database for close matches in your industry before you file or print.

What you get from this free logo generator

What is free

Three logos per visitor, for life. There are no paid plans and no accounts on the site right now.

The files

A square PNG, 1024 pixels on each side, on plain white. The Transparent PNG button removes the white connected to the edges in your browser. Enclosed white usually stays, but pale artwork touching the edges or a broken outline can be cut out too, so preview it. There is no SVG or vector file.

Where your logo goes

There is no gallery and nothing to upload. Results are kept by the AI provider for a limited time only, so download each logo right away.
